We are incredibly proud of our school and, most importantly, of the wonderful children who make it such a happy and special place.

We want every child who walks through our doors to feel happy, safe and valued. We take the time to get to know each child as an individual, celebrating what makes them unique and making sure they have the care, encouragement and support they need to flourish.

At Yaxley Infant School, we have high expectations for every child. We provide an ambitious, exciting and inclusive curriculum that gives children strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics, while also encouraging them to be curious, creative and enthusiastic learners. We want children to enjoy coming to school, to feel proud of what they achieve and to develop a genuine love of learning.

Of course, school is about much more than academic success. These early years of education are incredibly important, and we want to help our children grow into kind, confident, resilient and respectful young people. We encourage them to believe in themselves, care for others and understand the positive contribution they can make to their school and wider community.

We also believe that childhood should be filled with wonderful experiences and happy memories. Visits, visitors, special events, creative activities and outdoor learning all help to bring our curriculum to life, giving children opportunities to discover new interests, broaden their horizons and experience the joy of learning.

Parents and carers are a hugely important part of our school community. We know that children thrive when home and school work closely together, and we value the relationships we build with our families. We want you to feel welcomed, involved and confident that we know and care for your child.
