Our Garden Leaders have a very important job in our school. They learn about responsibility by helping to care for our garden, looking after our plants and making sure they have everything they need to grow and thrive. One of their special responsibilities is growing fresh lettuce for Tommy and Timmy, which involves planting, watering, caring for and eventually harvesting the lettuce for them to enjoy. Being a Garden Leader helps our children develop independence, teamwork and an understanding of how caring for something consistently can make a real difference.
