Our Play Leaders play an important role in helping to make lunchtimes enjoyable, inclusive and engaging for everyone. Selected children take on this responsibility with pride and act as positive role models for their peers.

Play Leaders help to organise games and activities, encourage children to join in and support friendships across the playground. They take responsibility for aspects of lunchtime provision, helping to ensure that breaktimes are fun, active and welcoming for all children.

Through this role, children develop valuable leadership skills, including responsibility, communication, teamwork and empathy. They learn how to support others, solve problems positively and contribute to the wider school community.

By leading games and encouraging participation, our Play Leaders help create happy, purposeful lunchtimes where children feel included, build friendships and enjoy being active together. Their contribution helps to make playtimes a positive and memorable part of the school day for everyone.
