Big School's Birdwatch

Every year, our children take part in the RSPB Big Schools' Birdwatch, helping to contribute to one of the UK's largest wildlife surveys.

Children from across the school enjoy identifying and counting the birds that visit our school grounds. This provides a wonderful opportunity to develop observation skills, learn about local wildlife and understand the importance of protecting habitats for birds and other animals.

Once the data has been collected, our Year 2 children submit the results to the RSPB, joining thousands of schools across the country in helping to monitor bird populations.

We are always proud to receive a certificate in recognition of our participation and look forward to taking part again each year as part of our commitment to outdoor learning and caring for the natural environment. 🐦🌿
