Start by watching the video where we put numbers on the numberline. You could use your whiteboard and pen and write the numbers in your own numberline if you want to.

How to play the game;
You can play on your own or with a family member.
You will each need a part whole model and 9 counting items.
You need a dice.
Each start with all 9 items in the whole and write 9 here too.
Take turns to throw the dice.
Move the amount of items from your first throw into 1 part.
Who throws the number needed for your second part first?
Write the matching number sentence down.
Play until you have had enough and see who has the most number sentences written down.

You could also play with different numbers as the 'whole' instead of 9.
