Where do stars go during the day?

Watch the video and then follow the easy instructions.

The light from the sun is like the light from the torch / lamp you use - if its shining on the place on Earth you're standing you won't be able to see the stars, mostly because the sun is much closer and therefore looks much brighter than the stars to Earth.

If the sun is shining on the other side of the world (when it's our night time) we can see the stars because they are giving off their own light and not being swamped by the light of the sun.
