What is a Governing Body?
The members of the governing body are the strategic leaders of the school and have a virtual role to play in making sure every child gets the best possible education in our school through promoting high standards of educational achievement and overseeing the management side of the school, strategy, policy, budgeting, and staffing. Working alongside senior leaders and supporting staff.
Being a school governor is a commitment to attending governing body meetings which consider setting the school aims and vision. Mitigating financial risk and scrutinising educational outcomes. We also are involved in the school community, acting as critical friends to the Head and senior staff team.
