Autumn Term 2

We have been learning some important life skills as well as having lots of fun during our weekly, Friday Forest school sessions with Mrs Pattison. We have been putting into practice how to keep ourselves and wildlife safe whilst we enjoy being in nature, through following our Forest school rules. For instance, when we made stick people by practising the bush craft skill of tying wool, we were careful to tidy up after ourselves and not 'leave a trace'- we didn't want any birds confusing the wool scraps for tasty worms! We made the most of all the Autumn nature treasures in our outdoor area by creating 'transient art' with them before observing the seasonal change as the leaves started to decompose. By popular request we are now enjoying making our own hot chocolate for each other, to warm up now it's getting colder and we are looking forward to learning lots more skills in the new year.
