Today in music we are learning to create simple patterns. 
The children will recap on what pulse is in music. They will create a short pulse pattern using their bodies. They will learn to  find patterns in music and to see how patterns fit into a pulse.

The children will recap on the song " Hot Cross Buns". They will join in with the song and use their hands to clap the pulse. 
Then the children create a  pulse pattern using a number of actions, clap & stamp. Next they create a different pulse pattern, stamp, stamp, clap, clap.  Then the last pattern they create is stamp, clap, clap, stamp. 
The children then learn a new song called " Swallows in the Sunshine. " Then the children add in a pulse to the song. 
Finally the children explore how to move their bodies to the beat.
