Due to school closures we will now be uploading tasks and activities that you and your child can do together at home. Each week we will upload an English, Maths and Topic activity. Along with this, we will continue to set and renew spelling shed activities for your child to complete online. 'Teach My Monster to Read' is also currently free to use and is an excellent online tool to help consolidate the children's phonic skills.
Our history topic this term has been around London 1666 and the Great Fire of London. This week we would like the children to create a Non- Fiction booklet based on these events. They could research and answer the questions; Where did the Great Fire begin? Why did it last so long? How was the fire put out? Who was Samuel Pepys and why do we remember him? How did London change after the fire? The children may also like to make a tudor home?
Mrs Moore has set P.E challenges for the children and I have included some Science activities linked to the Year 2 Science Curriculum. Please also find our 'Home Learning Year 2 Passport' attached above for additional activities. We will continue to communicate via our website along with our text service. If you do need to contact any of the Year 2 team, please don't hesitate to contact us! Our email addresses can be found on the school's website.
Thank you for all your support.
