After you have watched numberblocks, ask the children if they recognise any of the stories in it? Goldilocks, 3 little pigs, 3 blind mice) do they notice anything in common with those stories?

Now look at the picture attached to the observation of Number 3. What do you notice? number above head, number of buttons, arms, legs. Some are 3 and some are not.

Can you draw a number 3 on your whiteboard using the patter? Around the tree and around the tree, that's the way we make a 3. Well done.

I wonder if you could find 3 of something today in your play? maybe you have a story with 3 of something you could find too?
