We have put together some suggested activities for the children to have a go at each day.

Phonics - Please access the website Phonics Play (https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/) using the login details (username: march, password: home) and play games such as Obb and Bob and Tricky Word trucks for approximately 20 minutes.

Reading - please continue with your usual reading for 20 minutes each day. You can access books in-line with the children's phonics level on the website Oxford Owl (https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/) or alternatively you can read lovely picture books you may have at home or access online tools such as Cbeebies Storytime App or YouTube which has many read aloud stories.

English Challenge - Today we'd like you to listen to the story `The Gruffalo' and innovate the story, thinking of a new character that the mouse could meet in the deep dark wood. Can you draw a story mountain in your book with your new character now in the story? Make sure it has a beginning, middle and end.

Maths Challenge - Today we'd like you to practise counting forwards and backwards to 100. There is a great online tool you could use to help you called `Splat 100' (https://www.primarygames.co.uk/pg2/splat/splatsq100.html)

Art Challenge - Today we'd like you to collect some recyclable materials such as cardboard boxes, egg cartons, empty milk bottles etc. and use these to make an animal.

Please look at the Year 1 Activity Passport for other ideas you can do throughout the day.

Don't forget to get outside for some fresh air (The website 'Outdoor Classroom' has some great ideas if you'd like to take a look. (https://outdoorclassroomday.org.uk/resources/lesson-ideas/) and complete the P.E. challenges.

60 Star jumps in a minute
45 bounce catch in one minute.
Hop from one side of the garden to other using two feet.
Hop 30 times in a row.
Skip 5 times using a skipping rope.
Skip across from one side of the garden to the other.
