oday for our phonics we begin with our letter wall. How many sounds do you know? 
Next we look at two high frequency words, your & next. 
Then we play hide and find with our sound from yesterday " oy ". 
After this we discover our sound of the day " ir ". 
Then we read a number of real and nonsense words containing our target sound. 
Following on from this we read words/ sentences containing the target sounds " oy " and " ir " and draw the corresponding picture to match the word or sentence. 
Finally we read three tricky words: said, some & out.
